Well, I procrastinated some more, had a nap, and then finally at 2.30pm got round to doing my morning pages.
only a page and half. (but really, really big pages, honest) and what a load of old drivel. But I'm off the starting blocks.
How are you all doing? And what's the ruling about the pages? Can I make a suggestion that as long as we do our pages every day - we can do them in whatever time frame we want versus just the morning. I know why the morning pages work in the morning but I suspect with my son, the dog-walking, the general chaos in my house - these will be the perfect excuse not to write them.
So I'm giving myself permission to do the afternoon/evening pages.
What will work for you?
Hi Suzy and everyone walking the Artists Way :-) I agree with you that it's good to have the kind of flexibility to write your pages at a time that's suitable and fit's around your lifestyle. I've been doing Morning pages for 9 weeks now and 90% of the time they are the first thing on my agenda; before breakfast and my daily dose of Matthew Wright! But its easy for me as I don't have Children and work flexible hours from home. On a few occasions when I've had morning appointments I've journalled in the afternoon and found it quite interesting how the pages still flow but seem calmer and more centred. Julia Cameron talks about self-care and if I was living the career-centred existence I had 8 years ago I think morning pages would be out and I'd also be looking to do my pages later in the day.
Look forward to finding out how we're all enjoying the journey to recovering our creativity.

Hi everyone. I did my pages this morning. I just used a book i had and it felt enough! It definitely helped me to get things out and i got some clarity around something i needed to see!

Hi Suzy.....I'm with you about 'Morning' pages. Mornings are my down time when I potter around and mull over what I need to achieve during the coming day. For me writing in the evening when all is done will fit so much better....then I'll be able to sleep with all the days 'crap' out of my head. No point in stressing out.....that's why we're doing this isn't it to unload rubbish and leave us to really see what matters? Anyway it works for me!

Hi Suzy
I've been doing afternoon pages too and at the moment I find that they've turned into reems of affirmations and descriptions of how I want things to be - it's surprisingly positive while I thought it would be negative. What I am having trouble with is the artist date and then I googled it and came to this site http://paperartstudio.tripod.com/artistsway/id4.html
so hopefully this will help. So I used my creativity to find a solution! Hope this helps any of you who are stuck.

Hi all, well for a procrastinator, I didn't procrastinate!! Asked my sister to buy me a nice notebook, but the one she came home with was very plain. But because she is the dearest creature, I thought that was what was meant to be. Write on the DART (Irish Tube!) the odd morning I go to work, or alternatively, like you all, when it really suits. My writing is appalling, but one good thing I find, is that I do not try and better my expressions, just write exactly what is in my head and don't try to sound interestging/entertaining/intelligent/poetic. That way it is honest. And with that is coming an honesty in my life. I find I am not belittling myself too much and when good things happen (which they are) am taking it because I am freeing up my spirit to find thanks - if that makes sense. Love to you all Brenda x

Hi everyone! Started off really positively, remembered a groovy notebook I'd bought in the sales ('that will come in handy') and away I went on my morning pages. Interesting stuff came out of nowhere - still not too sure what it is supposed to cover, but, it is certainly off loading or unblocking something! I've been kind of doing some of the artists date, although it has involved others - I joined a knitting group. We meet up every two weeks for 1.5 hours, so I figure this contributes, and I sat for 2 hours and knitted the other day (apart from the odd trip to the fridge and kettle) so I'm on the way. Just need to do this or something else every week. All suggestions gratefully received - good luck all and don't give up.

Some time ago, I needed to buy a good car for my corporation but I did not have enough money and couldn't buy something. Thank heaven my sister proposed to try to take the loans at trustworthy bank. Therefore, I acted that and used to be satisfied with my auto loan.

Don't you recognize that it is the best time to receive the home loans, which would make your dreams come true.
