I've started a napping competition at our facebook group. I'm calling it The Nap Factor - we get to vote next friday for the best Big Peace napper and you win me as your prize (or coaching with me anyway....)
I have entered the competition as I believe is napping is one of my greatest skills. (If i am voted number one napper - I will auction off my time for charity.)
You may ask what on earth I'm going on about with this napping thing?
What does napping have to do with inner peace/contentment?
I see napping as concrete way of giving ourselves permission to stop, to doze, to be slow, to be still.
I see napping an antidote to busy/busy/busy....and if we can nap and love it....it suggests we can allow ourselves to be without doing/doing/doing.
Imagine if you felt you had value just by doing nothing.
Simply by sleeping.
What I'm getting at here...is we don't have to earn our value in the world by what we do.
We can simply be....asleep......and be loved.
(Don't we always say that's when we love our children the best?! Their innocence, their stillness, their utter vulnerability and peace)
Happy Napping!
