I was talking this morning about Julia Cameron's best-selling book The Artist's Way. Essentially, it's about creative recovery but often it's a great book for life recovery too.
Just a thought. Would anyone like to do the 12 week course with me via this blog?
There is a weekly chapter with exercises to follow but that might be a wonderful way to start 2009? Perhaps we could start the introduction chapter week commencing 26th January so we're ready to start the 12 week course in February?
I think I may have just got a book deal with Hay House for The Big Peace! Just waiting for contracts to be signed. How exciting is that! Especially wonderful for me as Louise Hay, the founder of Hay House and author of You Can Heal Your Life as been one of my inspirations for so long. And Hay House publish so many of my favourite authors - from Dr David Hamilton to Michael Neill.
So if I'm going to be writing away for the next few months, I may need some creative inspiration so The Artist's Way is just the ticket. If you want to join me, sign up here.
Congratulations on the book!

Yep, I am all for it. Did it couple of years ago and it helped me immensely. Looking forward to doing a bit of recap, cannot hurt.

Congrats with the book, I'll be looking out for that one...
Which version of 'The Artists Way' are you working with? There's a few of them on Amazon and I don't want to get the wrong one...

First of all congratulations on your book deal. This is great news and you deserve it so much.
I can't believe the synchronicity of recieving your e-mail now. I started the Artist's way 8 weeks ago am just finishing the chapter 'Recovering a sense of strength.' I've been doing morning pages for the duration and am quite shocked at how much anger and frustration pour onto them. I was extremely ill with a very debilitating illness for several years but am in a good place now and have been writing a book to help others - to see the gift in how illness can actually be an opportunity and 'The Artists Way' has been helping rid me of blocks and self-doubt. I intend to finish writing by the end of Winter and hope to send my work off to an agent around spring-time. Although I start week 9 of the book at the weekend I'd love to join you all and I know it will be inspiring to hear from someone like yourself, Suzy who has already had a book published. Julia Cameron is a wonderful author and I find this course very nurturing. Martha Beck's book 'Finding your own north star' which I read a few years ago really echoes her sentiments.
Take care and look forward to going through the chapters once again, I know I'll gain more wisdon a second time.
Take care,
Maria

Funny, i was clearing some stuff this morning and came across my copy of the book and quietly said to myself 'never got to finish that book, must pick it up sometime'. At the same time i came across some stuff i had written ages ago and wondered what had happened to that person...well i guess this is a timely invitation from Mama Nature... yeah, i'm up for it Suzy!
Best, Ade
PS - Congrats on the book deal!

Congratulations on your book deal!!!!
What a wonderful idea this is! Yes, I'm in!
Which version of the book is it that we'll be needing? I need to order mine directly, Amazon always seem to send swimmers across the North Sea with my order... Or maybe a cyclist who is asked to first take a detour to Mexico...
This will be fun! Can't wait!

It's understandable that money can make people independent. But how to act when someone has no money? The one way only is to receive the loans and just short term loan.

the artist ways is one filled with lots of deceptions and effort, only a brave person can bear it.

Don't have money to buy a house? Worry no more, just because it is real to receive the credit loans to work out all the problems. So take a car loan to buy everything you require.

I know so many people who have just had a new addition to their
lives or are still counting down the last few days. There is
nothing better to warm the heart on such a frigid January. I am
so excited for everyone.

How fabulous is that fishing gift set! I'm definitely going to have to keep that idea in mind for a few "gophers" I mean golfers I know. Hmm...my favorite handmade gift given was a cross-stitched sampler for one of those golphers (my DFIL) that I made for his FROG room. FROG=Family Room Over Garage...his room is his own special place and it's all dec'd out in a golf theme...even the bathroom. Kudos to my DMIL. Have a blessed day! :)

I will share my experience. Two years ago I had to go to the Employee Assistant Program, since I had a really hard situation in my home. They treated me great and offered me a lot of psychological help. Thank you!
